Steamboat Triathlon
Jay Orr battles his way to victory!
Jay Orr and Andrew Person put a beat down on all competitors at this years Steamboat Triathlon! Orr has finished 2nd at the Steamboat a record 5 times. He has been close to winning the race several times and even once within a second. Today was his day. Andrew Person was the first person to cross the finish line in a time of 1:16.57 with Jay Orr hammering down the final stretch leaving nothing to chance. His time? 1:16.56. Jay can now call himself Steamboat Triathlon Champion and have his name mentioned with the likes of past champions, Barry Knight, Jon Shearon, Elliot Shearon, and a few others. Congratulations Jay!
The women's race was no different. Local racer Brigitte Kinnaman battled it out with St. Louis native Jennifer Meyer. The race between these two heavy hitters came down to a minute difference, with Jennifer edging Brigitte for win in a time of 1:28.37!
This years race had near perfect weather and the racers took full advantage of it. Congratulations to all those who competed. We would also like to give a shout out to all the sponsors and volunteers to made this race possible. Without you guys there would be no race. We would also like to recognize Patrick Watson for another well organized race. We hope everyone enjoys the results.
